COMMERCIAL Sharemarket Closes On Firm Note
The sharemarket closed the week on a firm note yesterday. The volume of trading was lower but there was a good demand for most stocks.
Bank of New South Wales, National Insurance, National Mortgage B, New Zealand Farmers’ Cooperative B preference, Coles and Tingey sold at higher prices. Dominion Breweries dropped Is from Tuesday’s price to sell at 755. No other losses were recorded.
