Otago B.H.S. Beaten By Eight Wickets "The Press’- Special Service DUNEDIN, December 2. Christ’s College beat Otago Boys’ High School by eight wickets in the annual inter-school cricket match which concluded at Littlebourne yesterday ■Christ’s College scored 213 and 42 for two wickets and Otago Boys’ High School 113 and 140. It was the college team’s third victory in successive years. College was 196 for six wickets overnight, but the tail-enders were dismissed by P. C. Semple, who captured four wickets at a low cost. College was dismissed for 213, 100 runs ahead on the first innings. The wicket took a considerable amount of spin when Otago batted for the second time and the batsmen had difficulty in playing J. St. J. Parson, who again varied his bowling with off-spinners and med-ium-fast deliveries. A. Sadgrove and B. Crichton provided the variety on a most responsive pitch and Otago scored omy 140 J. Billcliff, a robustly-built batsman, was top scorer for the second time with. 22 and R. Dick. who made a patient 19, displayed some good strokes on the off-side. The rest of the Otago batsmen failed to impress Set 41 runs to win with more than two hours’ play left, College, after an hour’s batting, passed the total for the loss of two wickets. J. S.
