Hastings Owner’s Colt "The Press' Special Service WELLINGTON, December 2. Rawalpindi, a three-year-old celt by Pinza out of Malindi, was purchased on the second day of the December sales at Newmarket for Mr W. R. Stead, of the Sasanof Stud, Hastings. The purchase was made for Wright. Stephenson and Company by the British Bloodstock Agency. Pinza, the sire of Rawalpindi, won the Derby. The dam, Malindi, is a full sister to Nasrallah, the only horse to head the list of winning sires in England and America. Nasrallah led the American sires’ list in 1955 when his first American crop were three!-year-olds. He was again leading sire in 1956 and ranked second in 1957 and 1958. He also headed the American list of sires of two-year-olds in 1954 and 1956. The vendor of Rawalpindi was Prince Aly Khan. Malindi won races at Hurst Park and Epsom in England for Prince Aly Khan and has bred three winners in France.
