DESCRIPTIVE ATLAS
Free Copy For Every School (New Zealand Press Association) WELLINGTON. December 2. A copy of the “Descriptive Atlas of New Zealand” will be presented free to every school, the Minister of Education (Mr Skoelund) announced today. “This atlas gives a wonderful survey of a great many aspects of New Zealand life and every one of our school pupils should have access to it and be able to consult it for geography and for social studies,” Mr Skoglund said. “Schools will, no doubt, wish to purchase additional copies as soon as a new edition is published; but, meanwhile, we have made sure, by means of this presentation copy, that there is at least one copy available in every school library.”
Copies of the atlas are to be delivered to schools within the next few weeks.
