Royal Chapel May Be Restored
(N.2. Press Association—Copyright) LONDON, December 1. The Royal chapel behind Buckingham Palace, blasted to ruins by a Nazi bomb, may be restored in time for the christening of the Queen’s expected baby early in the New Year. The “Daily Sketch” diarist said some Palace staff believed this after surveyors had been called in to look over the once beautiful building. Both Prince Charles and Princess Anne had to be baptised in the music room at the Palace. The Queen would naturally prefer to have her chapel used for the ceremony if possible, the diarisksaid.
