Sir,—l would agree with Mr Williams that it would have been better were my inquiry regarding his leave of absence from the board taken “in committee.” However, as the mistake was mine and Mr Williams’s feelings obviously ruffled thereby, I take this opportunity of extending my sincere apology to him with the assurance that should it be necessary for me to seek further information on the subject, it will be done “in committee’’ as he requests.—Yours, etc., R.
