Quick Exit
When the police knocked on the door of a Brooklyn road building in Wellington where they suspected bookmaking was going on, a man made a hurried exit by jumping through a window. Subsequently, John Cat- ?* aged 32, a fishmonger, hobbled slowly into the dock in the Wellington Magistrate’s Court and pleaded guilty to bookmaking. As he had a previous conviction for the offence, he was to I pr / son ,or si* weeks. Cataldo injured both his feet in his flight through the window.
