ARMY RECRUITING VAN

Visit To Timaru Today

The new Army recruiting van, recently delivered from Wellington, will make its first recruiting journey from Christchurch this morning. It will go to Timaru, where it will be stationed for two days at the Timaru Show. At the recent Christchurch Show, the van was a great success, attracting 11 recruits to the Army. Early next month, the van will probably make a trip in the northern part of the South Inland and on the West Coast

A request for this trip has been received at the Christchurch recruiting centre from the Ist Battalien Nelson-Marlborough-West Coast Regiment. The van is expected to be away for about 10 t days, visiting Motueka, Takaka, Murchison, Westport, Inangahua, Reefton Stillwater, Greymouth, and Hokitika.

Visits will be made to schools, and street positions will be set up.
