MALVERN TRIAL MATCH
Because. of the Courtenay A. and P. show, no club cricket was held at Malvern on Saturday. A trial match was held as a guide to the selectors, and the Probables won
by two runs. The batting wag superior to the
bowling, and G. Nimmo was a batsman who enhanced his chances for the coming season. H. Joyce and A. F. Wright put on 120 for the third wicket for Possibles and were well supported by O. Stuart and N. Rothwell. Scores were:— Probables 225 (W. Wright 60, O. Stuart 23, D. Deans 36, K. Shipley 25. G. Nimmo 31, L. Innes 23; C Croy three for 3. R. Morris one' for 37, C. Adams one for 32. C Ashworth one for 9, R. Stuart two for 14, R. Gunn two for 3) beat Malvern Possibles 223 (H. Joyce 60, A. Wright 74, R. Stuart 36, N. Rothwell 25; D. Gunn one for 27, O. Stuart two for 24, G. Ridgen one for 58, D. Mitchell one for 28, J. Adams two for 35. G. Nimmo three for 13).
