New Cabinet In Iceland
(N.Z. Press Association—Copyright) REYJAVIK, Nov. 21.
The leader of Iceland’s Independence Party, Mr Clafur Thors, told the Althing today that he had formed a Cabinet to succeed the Social-Democratic caretaker Government which resigned yesterday.
He said Iceland’s policy over fishing limits would remain unchanged. Iceland has a 12-mile limit, which is not recognised by Britain.
In his Cabinet, Mr Thors creates a new Ministry for Fishing Limits, distinct from the existing Ministry of Fisheries, which formerly had jurisdiction over limits. The Minister for Fishing Limits is Mr Jarni Benediktsson.
