PLEASANT POINT STOCK SALE

TIMARU, November 23. Twenty-five head of fat cattle of mixed quality were offered at today’s Pleasant Poyit sale, and sold at recent late rates. Three races of fat sheep, with wethers predominating, were offered and also sold up to late rates. Fat hoggets met with a keen demand, while fat ewes, smaller in number, improved on the Temuka sale. The small yarding of store sheep sold at late rates. Values were:—
Fat Cattle—Fat steers. £36 12s 6d to £49 12s 6d; fat cows. £2l 2s 6d to £2B 12s 6d; fat heifers, £33 15s to £42 12s 6d.
Fat Sheep.—Two-shear wethers, heavy 45s Id to 49s 7d, medium 38s id to 40s Id, light 34s Id to 37s Id. Fat hoggets: Good, 42s Id to 50s Id; medium, 37s Id to 40s Id. Fat ewes: Good, 16s Id to 20s Id; light, 11s Id to 14s Id. Store sheep: Ewe hoggets, from 25s to 48s; wether hoggets, from 17s to 345; two-tooth wethers, from 28s 6d to 335.
