Withdrawal By Laos?
(N.Z. Press Association—Copyright) NEW YORK, November 23. Laos is reported to be planning to withdraw her complaint to the United Nations against North Vietnam. in an effort to ease her relations with the Communist Government and with China, the American Associated Press reported today. Authoritative diplomatic sources at the United Nations said that both India and the United Nations SecretaryGeneral (Mr Dag Hammarskjold) had urged the Laotian Government to withdraw its charges that the North Vietnamese committed aggression by aid to the Communist Laotian rebels. This would enable the Security Council to strike the Laotian case from its agenda.
