Sir Ralph Grey

Sir,—Having followed with interest the career of the brilliant young New Zealander, Sir Ralph Grey, recently Deputy GovernorGeneral of the Federation of Nigeria, may I point out that today’s comment in “The Press” is from the strongly anti-British newspaper in that country, the Action Group’s “Daily Service.” Sir Ralph Grey has been decorated on four different occasions. 0.8. E., C.M.G., K.C.V.0., and K.C.M.G., for his outstanding service to the British Government among a native population which has been working strenuously (with Communist backing) to throw off British control and gain their independence. His new appointment as Governor of British Guiana, from a political standpoint the most difficult of all remaining British colonies, is a great tribute to his diplomacy and skill as an administrator.— Yours, etc., UNBIASED INFORMATION. November 20, 1959.
