VISIT BY NOTED SCIENTIST

Address At Civic Theatre The American Nobel Prizewinning scientist. Professor Linus Pauling, will come to Christchurch on Sunday, November 29, and will speak in the Civic Theatre that evening. Professor Pauling will come to New Zealand after attending the Australian and New Zealand Congress for international co-operation and disarmament in Melbourne. His visit to this country is being sponsored by the New Zealand committee for the congress. He will come to Christchurch from Wellington on the Sunday morning and will leave next day for Dunedin. During the afternoon he will visit the University of Canterbury to meet scientists and chemists. At the Civic Theatre he will talk about the effects of nuclear tests and war and about world law. The chairman of the meeting will be Mr G. Manning. Christchurch delegates to the congress will also speak.
