HORSES
Clydesdales There were some very good Clydesdales exhibited and it was pleasing to see these exhibitors from so far afield regularly coming forward with their entries. C. T. McCallum brings his horses from Otago and the other two exhibitors, B. V. Snow and R. J. and F. J. O’Connor from Nelson. A syndicate of breeders has recently imported a Clydesdale stallion from • Scotland and its appearance at a Christchurch show will be looked for. The Christchurch show is one of the few major associations which reta ns classes for this section and it is pleasing to see such good entries. The judge, Mr J. Blair (Outram) said the horses were very good types and brought forward in very good order. He was particularly impressed with the prizewinners in the yearling filly class. Both the championship awards for entire and mare were won by C. T. McCallum.
