The following were the results of primary and intermediate schools’ girls’ tennis competitions played this week. A Grade Singles.—Quarter-finals: Frances Thompson (Beckenham) beat Suzanne Burgess (Cashmere). 6-1; Andrea Shaw (Woolston) beat Lynley Barnett (Beckenham), 6-3; Priscilla Scott (Cashmere) -beat Susan Hobbs (St. Margaret's), 6-1; Sally Mac Neil! (South Intermediate) beat Jill Coombs (Beckenham), 6-5. B Grade Singles.—Quarter-finals: Maureen. Norrie (Mairehau) beat Jan Nolan (Beckenham), 6-1; S. MacNeiil 'South Intermediate) beat Fern Mclntosh (Beckenham), 6-1; Hilda Macdonald (Burwood) beat Patricia Tapper (Burwood), 6-2; Patricia Taylor (Paparoa Street) beat Heather Blair i(Beckenham), 6-4. Doubles.—Thompson and C. Norrie (Beckenham) beat J. McTainsh and Coombs (Beckenham), 6-4; Mclntosh and H. Blair (Beckenham) beat M. Norrie and Handley (Mairehau), 6-5; L. Barnett and B.
