Nicoll, in jK Durham street art gallery. The display of 40 reproduettajg of American paintings is sored by the United States fo, formation Agency. It fills tfo small gallery'near the Durfon street entrance. Ninety of Mr Nicoll's works' displayed in the rest of the |E lery. They comprise portraits anf landscapes. Opening the exhibition, the peg. sident of the society (Mr G. C. Mr Colin Lovell-Smith win knew the artist as a friend, s*l* Mr Nicoll was a man of gmt faith and integrity. “Archibald Nicoll had a glorious sense of humour, which made’ hiss the best of companions.” said Mr Lovell-Smith. The exhibition will be open to 1 ) the public until November 21
