Boxing DONOVAN TO GO TO ENGLAND
Preparation For Rome Olympic Games
(New Zealand Press Assoctatton) NAPIER, October 9. T. P. Donovan, of Napier, New Zealand light-weight boxing champion and Jameson Belt winner, will sail for England on December 12, on the first leg of his quest for an Olympic gold medal. Donovan said today: “If I can get enough fights against top-class opponents, I’m confident I can win an Olympic title. To win an Olympic title you need the fights to get into fighting trim.” Donovan will sit his final professional accountancy examination early in December, and will sail for England soon afterwards.
