King CassoeK completed his preparation for the Stewards' Purse, the second leg of the Winton Jockey Club's double, with a pleasing trial at Wingatui this morning. Ridden by his race-dav jockey, H. T. Anderton, the Cassock gelding worked over half a mile on the plough to shade Panam IN. Dempsey) in 53sgc. the opening furlong in 13sec. Happy Link (R. Marsh) and Relation (E. E. O'Brien) were together over five furlongs on the inside grass in Imin ssec, the first two furlongs in 25 2-ssec. MISPRINT DIES IN FOALING

“The Press" Special Service MATAMATA. October 8.

The former good race mare. Misprint. died when foaling at Matamata yesterday morning. Her colt by Oman is all right but was very big. Misprint was second to Denounce in the Railway Handicap when that mare set a track record. She won many races, including an Easter Handicap at Ellerslie. She was owned and trained by Mr L. Clarke, of Rotorua, who has found a foster-mother for the foal.
