Vegetable, Cake, Dairy and Confectionery Shop Employees' Award, 1950, and by the Shops and Offices Act, 1955 WILL APPLY to the Magistrate's Court at Christchurch on Wednesday, the 21st day of October, 1959, at 2.15 p.m. for partial exemption from the requirement to observe such closing hours namely—for permission to open on Sundays between 1 p.m. and 5 p.m. in respect of the sale of fresh fruit. The grounds of the application are:— (I) It is desirable in the public interest as a service to the visitors to, and the staff and patients of the Cashmere Sanatorium. (II) No other shop could be injuriously affected by such exemption. (III) No staff is employed. Any occupier of any shop and any representative of such Industrial Union of Workers or Employers as are affected and any organisation that may be I affected by the result of the proceedings shall be entitled to appear and be heard on the application.
