Convictions Quashed On Appeal
(New Zealand Press Association) WELLINGTON, Oct. 8. Two convictions, for negligent driving causing death and negligent driving causing bodily injury, were quashed on appeal by Mr Justice McCarthy in a judgment delivered in the Supreme Court today. John Gray Hogarth, a freezing worker, had been convicted on the two charges in the Lower Hutt Magistrate’s Court. He was fined £25, and his driving licence was suspended for 12 months.
