Large fields are carded for the Te Awamutu Trotting Club's meeting on Saturday. The double will be on the Publicans’ and the Stewards’ Handicaps. Provision has been made for two divisions in the Second Kihikihi Handicap. A lot of rain during the week has made the going soft. Selections.—

Changed Stables For Sharwalo

Sharwalo, which was trained by A. C. Amyes at Ashburton, is now a member of N. J. O’Leary’s team at New Brighton Sharwalo. a six-year-old gelding by U Scott from Sure Potts, won the Elgin Handicap, the second leg of the double at the Ashburton Trotting Club's spring meeting last Saturday.

He will have his first start for his new trainer in the Paparua Handicap, the second leg of the double at the Banks Peninsula Trotting Club’s annual meeting tomorrow.

Three Positives From One Race

The doubtful honour of holding the record for the most positive swabs in one day appears to be held by a club in Pakistan where, at major meetings, the first three placed horses are swabbed in each race. An important event in 1957 was declared void after the first three place-getters had returned positive swabs.

Only gallopers are raced in Pakistan.
