CHURCH ARMY LEADER
Rev. E. W. Carlile On Visit To N.Z.
(New Zealand Press Association) AUCKLAND. October 8.
The Rev. E. Wilson Carlile, world chief secretary of the Church Army, arrived in Auckland tonight to start a five weeks’ tour of churches in New Zealand.
As head of the lay organisation of the Church of England, he will meet diocesan bishops and talk to lay leaders here. Mr Carlile will make two broadcasts while in New Zealand, one from Christchurch and one from Wellington. He will also speak at meetings of the Anglican synods in Christchurch and Dunedin.
Cashmere Building.—A science laboratory and two classrooms would be built at Cashmere High School next year, the Education Department has advised the school’s board of governors.
