Tasmania Star Arrives From London

The Blue Star line cargo ship Tasmania Star arrived at Lyttelton yesterday morning from London, via Christmas Island and Suva. The vessel brought 1900 tons of English cargo for discharge at Lyttelton, as well as fruit from Suva. The call at Christmas Island was made >o land N.A.A.F.I. stores for the servicemen there. The Tasmania Star was at Suva during “Hibiscus Week.” Passengers who arrived by the ship were: Mr and Mrs A. W. Chapman (Wellington). Mr and Mrs A. S. Nicholl (Christchurchl, Mr and Mrs G. H. Bruce, Mesdames M. A Crowther, M. H. Gaskell, E. M Knowles. E. W. Walker. M. Wilson, and B. E. Hailas. Captain F. N. Johnson is in command of the Tasmania Star.
