Couple Die Within 14 Hours Of Each Other
(New Zealand Press Association; AUCKLAND, October 1. Mr and Mrs T. Melville, who had played leading parts in the public life of the Onehunga borough, died yesterday at Green Lane Hospital within 14 hours ot each other. The Mayoress of Onehunga (Mrs V. Rollings) said today that “they were inseparable, very highly respected, and excellent public workers.” Mr Thomas Melville had been
a member of the Borough Council for 15 years, and his wife, Jean, was associated with charitable causes and parent-teacher activities. Mr Melville, who was 60. died from a heart attack, and his wife, who was 61. from a stroke.
