RAIN FESTIVAL IN NEPAL.—King Mahendra of Nepal takes the salute at the annual three-day festival to mark the end of the monsoon season. The colourfully-costumed Nepalese trek down to Katmandu from the Himalayan villages to attend the ceremonies.
