Fishing Boat Sunk
(Rec. 11 p.m.) AMSTERDAM. September 25. The Dutch aircraft-carrier Karel Doorman —formerly H.M S Venerable—reported that she had run down and sunk the 71-ton Ostend fishing vessel Frans Elza early today. No survivors were found although the aircra f t-earrier anchored at the position while two accompanying warships searched. It is not known how many were aboard the fishing vessel. The Frans Elza was identified from a basket and flotsam which were found at the scene of the accident Christmas Message Not On TV LONDON, September 24 The Queen’s traditional Christmas Day message to the Commonwealth this year will be prerecorded for sound broadcasting, it was officially announced today. The Queen, who is expecting a baby early next year, will not appear on television. She is expected to record her message at Buckingham Palace, London some time after her return from Balmoral, her Scottish home, next month. '
