Villa Maria Old Girls’ Dinner
The Feast of Our Lady of Mercy and the founding of the Mercy Order were celebrated at a dinner party given by the Villa Maria Old Girls’ Association, at which Monsignor T. Hanrahan was the guest of honour. The president (Mrs M. T. Bunting) welcomed the guests and proposed the health of the Sisters of Mercy. Monsignor Hanrahan replied to the toast. The following committee was responsible for organising the dinner party: Mesdames M. T. Bunting, R. Power. J. Butler, P. Howard, J. Kennedy, R. Handisides, T. O’Brien, S. O’Rourke, M. Cowden and P. J. Keenan, and Misses A. Brown, C. Ive, J. O’Brien, A. Meikle, and P. McCormick.
