Injured In Bomb Explosion
'N.Z Press Association—Copyrigtit) <Rec. 11 p.m.) ADELAIDE, Sept. 24. A farmer who lost a leg and had the other severely injured when an unexploded army shell went off on his property in April. 1957, was today awarded £B3OO damages in the High Court, sitting in Adelaide. The farmer, Hugh Neville Hocking, aged 55, of Murray Bridge, 60 miles from Adelaide, alleged . negligence by the Commonwealth in not warning him of the presence of shells on his land. The Commonwealth had admitted liability.
