Mother And Child Contest
A Christchurch mother and child, Mrs Violet Horton and Karen Marie Horton, of Wairakei road, Bryndwr, are among the four finalists i in a nation-wide contest to find New Zealand's most attractive mother and child.
The competition, which is a part of the Napier centennial celebrations, is being sponsored by the Napier Centennial Committee and a soft drink firm. Mrs Horton and Karen will be flown to Napier where they will meet the other finalists for the final judging which will be held during Centennial week early next month.
