Springbok On Plaque “Souvenired”
(New Zealand Press Association) WELLINGTON. Sept. 23. The springbok on the plaque given to the Wellington Rugby Football Uhion by Dr. D. H. Craven, manager of the 1956 South African Rugby Union team in New Zealand, has been "souvenired.”
The chairman reported this to the union’s management committee last night. Dr. Craven had been upset on noticing this during his recent visit.
It was reported that there was some possibility of recovering the missing springbok.
