MORE AERIAL TRIALS
Further aerial topdressing trials with D.D.T. superphosphate will be made in Canterbury shortly. Mr J. M. Kelsey, officer in charge of the entomological sub-station of the Entomology Division of the Department of Scientific and Industrial Research, said this wOek that the results of recent trials with wet and dry mix D.D.T. super at Te Pirita had been so confusing in certain points that it would be necessary to carry out a more extensive series Of trials to clarify these.
Mr Kelsey said it was possible that the further trials would be over a single two-mile long flight line or over a seven-acre area measuring 35 chains by two chains on which four flight lines would be indicated by flags.
