N.Z. Horses Gain Five Wins
New Zealand-tired horses had another highly successful meeting at Harold Park last Saturday, when they won five races. Guiseppe (Josedale Grattan—Bashful), which started at 7 to 4. won the Harold Park Handicap after a slow beginning and meeting trouble on the journey. His connexions were warned after the race that the horse's barrier manners must improve or hr l nomination would be refused at Harold Park. Loreto Noel (Loreto—Marypark i won the Trotters’ Handicap. He started at 5 to 1. Rear Attack (Attack —Blue Shield), a 50 to 1 chance, caused an upset with a win in the Ashfield Handicap. Anya and Sebabu, both of which are raced by their breeder. Mr W. ' Johnstone, of Te Kuiti, gained im--1 pressive wins m the Haberfield Handicap and the Five Dock Handicap respectively. Anya (U. Scott— Indianote) started at S to 4. and Sebabu (Smokey Hanover—High Flight) at 10 to 9. Wise Admiral (Admiral Harwood— Sapience). Lord Windemere (U. Scott-Windemere). Cobra Sowden (Kingcobra—Sowden Beck). Maestro’s Melody l U. Scott—Melody Maid), Firmament (Scottish Star— Cyone Girl), and Craig Hanover (Lucky Hanover—Admiration) were other New Zealand-bred horses to I record placings.
