A TOAST TO THE TITLE CONTESTANTS.—A toast to the three Christchurch speedway riders competing in the world championship final in London this evening was honoured at a function in Christchurch recently. The Christchurch riders are Barry Briggs, Geoff Mardon and Ronnie Moore. Those in the picture are, from left, Mrs Barry Briggs, Mrs Geoff Mardon, Mrs R. Moore senior, Mrs R. Mauger (secretary of the Christchurch Speedway Association) Mrs Ivan Mauger, and Ivan Mauger, a teammate of the three Christchurch riders, and present British junior champion.
