Forecast: Canterbury.—Moderate variable winds, with northeasterlies predominating near the coast; fair; temperatures moderate. Outlook: fair. West Coast.—Moderate variable winds, westerlies predominating; fair to cloudy; temperatures moderate. Outlook: cloudy, with showers spreading from the south. Nelson and Marlborough.—Light to moderate variable winds, tending to moderate southerlies about Cook Straitcloudy this morning with local patches of drizzle or light rain, but weather fair later; cool to moderate temperatures Outlook: fair.
