DIPLOMA AWARD FOR FILM
New Zealand Unit’s Production (New Zeatana Press Association/ WELLINGTON, Sept. 16. The New Zealand National Film Unit’s production “Jetobatics” was awarded the diploma of merit at the recent Edinburgh Festival, according to cabled advice received by the unit’s manager (Mr Geoffrey Scott). This laurel wreath award is the highest given in the documentary film category of the International Edinburgh Film Festival. “Jetobatics” portrays the aerobatic manoeuvres of the Royal New Zealand Air Force's jet pilots team led by John Buckmaster. The film was directed and photographed by John Hutchinson, edited and commentary written by David Fowler, and the imaginative soundtrack recorded by Claude Wickstead. It was produced by Geoffrey Scott and Cyril Morton.
