DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH HEALTH EDUUCATION OFFICERS

THE Department of Health has interesting positions available for women in Dunedin, Invercargill, and Grcymouth. The work is in health education and entails the di-semination of the Department's health teaching through group instruction with adult and adolescent organisations, supervision of the local distribution of health education materials, and assistance with the co-ordination of health education activities in the health districts. Appointees commence duty with a period of preliminary training in Wellington and are later expected to take a full term diploma course in health education for which bursaries are granted. Tuition in car driving given if necessary. Applicants should be 25-35 years of age with a minimum academic qualification of school certificate. Universitystudies in such as education and social science are an advantage hut not essential. Commencing salary- up to £645 p a with merit promotion up to £785 p.a. and on obtaining the Diploma in Health Education, opportunities up to £B7O p.a.
