The 1959 debating competition of the Canterbury Council of the New Zealand Federation of Young Farmers’ Clubs concluded recently at Ashburton when the Timaru district committee (affirmative) defeated the Christchurch district committee (negative) on the subject “That farm animals be compelled to wear hats during summer.” Mr M.
