Boy Burned By Electric Blanket
(New Zealand Press Association) AUCKLAND, August 30.
A four-year-old boy living on the North Shore was admitted to hospital after being burnt by an electric blanket early on Friday morning. An operation will be necessary to treat the burn.
The boy’s mother received an electric shock when she lifted the boy, who is ah invalid, from the blanket. He had complained of a prickling sensation.
The mattress and bedding burst into fire while the mother was telephoning a doctor.
