Brabhaqi Wins Both Parts

Reuter said this lap record—of 78.87 miles an hour—beat Moss’s existing record of 7(.77 miles an hour for Formula II cars for Brand's Hatch.

Moss, who had dropped back to eighth place after leaving the track, pulled up to third place in the first part. Brabham continued his brilliant driving in the second part, which he won easily. Moss failed to finish in the first three in the second part but was third in the race itself on aggregate times.
