SCRAMBLE AT HAREWOOD

Riders in the Pioneer Motor Club's scramble at Harewood yesterday needed all their experience on a tricky winding rough three-quarter mile course.
The Don McNeill trophy handicap race of 15 laps had a close finish with the first five riders all finishing within 50 yards. The winner was T. Minchington. who had finished fourth m the first of the heats. The winners of the two heats—L. Reynolds and R. Hamburger—finished second and third respectively. The unluckiest rider of the day was D. Bums, who was expected to win several of thd events. Engine trouble in his specially-prepared machine put him out in all but two races. He had an easy win in the final race of the day, the consolation race. Results were:—
