COMMENTS ON THE GAME
Comments were given by the following after the game had ended:— Dr. D. H. Craven. —“The Lions were well and truly beaten and New Zealand could have had an even greater score. The All Blacks were a much improved team to what they were in the second test and really played well. I was a little disappointed with the Lions.” Sir Wavell Wakefield. — “The All Black pack slowly but surely got on top of the Lions and provided opportunities for the backs to score. It seemed to me there were usually three All Blacks there to two of the Lions when the ball came loose. I think the covering play of the All Blacks on defence and attack was superb. Congratulations to New Zealand on a fine and thoroughly deserved win.” Mr C. W, Blunt (Australian delegate on the International Board and manager of the Australian team in New Zealand last year).—“New Zealand was magnificent. The forwards were wonderful. There was only one team in it.”
Mr A. W. Wilson (manager of the Lions).—"We were a wellbeaten side, mainly forward. The New Zealand pack played exceptionally well and the side had a well-deserved win.”
