TIMARU, August 26. Highlights ol the Tiinaru Competitions Society’s Centennial Festival conducted throughout the day and this evening at tne Scottish Hall were the junior and senior centennial lancy aancing championships. the second section of the open ana centennial championship, cnoir contests and ballets, and the senior centennial championship tap dance. The following were the results:— Sword Dance.—Under 10: Lorraine Dewar 1, lola Smith 2, Brent Ingram (Christchurch) 3. Vocal Duet, own selection.—l 6 and under: Wendy Cannori and Jeanette Arnould (Christchurch) 1, Jennifer Marr and Rosalie Winne 2. Recitation, own seiection.—lo and under 13.
