MR D. RENNIE
One of the Wellington district’s most experienced traffic officers, Mr David Rennie, of Lower Hutt, died recently. He was 61. Mr Rennie was on his way to visit brothers in America. Canada and England but he died half an hour before his plane reached Nandi, Fiji. He was buried at Lautoka.
Until 1939 Mr Rennie was a traffic inspector in Christchurch. He was transferred to Lower Hutt where he served from 1940 to 1943. In 1946 Mr Rennie served as a road traffic inspector (schools) at Wellington and after a short period on clerical duties was appointed to Petone in 1945 as testing officer. Mr Rennie is survived by a son and daughter. His wife died some years ago.
