N.I. School Children On Visit To Citv
Ten children of the West End School, Palmertson North arrived in the city by air yesterday on a week’s visit.
Members of the party are all staying with friends and relations during their stay in the city and will return north on Tuesday. The children are between the ages of 10 and 11 and are accompanied by two teachers, Mr B. P. Slade and Miss P. M. Hastings. While in Christchurch they will visit a wide range of factories, go sightseeing, visit the Canterbury Museum and the Botanic Gardens. The highlight of their stay will be a visit to the Mayor of Christchurch (Mr G. Manning) on Friday morning.
