(New Zealand Press Association) AUCKLAND, August 23. The Moderator of the General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church of New Zealand (the Rt Rev. Dr. J. D Salmond), of Dunedin, arrived at Whenuapai yesterday on his way home from the eighteenth five-yearly conference of the World Alliance of Reformed and Presbyterian Churches at Sao Paulo, Brazil. Fifty-three countries and 78 churches were represented at the conference. Dr. Salmond said today. He was very impressed with the delegates from Africa and Asia. Three countries behind the Iron Curtain, Czechoslovakia, Poland and Rumania were represented, but there was general disappointment that no Hungarian was present Four delegates were expected, he said, but they could not get visas to travel. Dr. Salmond also took part in the centennial celebrations of the Presbyterian Church of Bra til which were held at Rio De Janeiro.
