The South Island selectors 'Messrs T. F. McKenzie and K. Andrews) have chosen the following South Island team to play! the North Island in the interisland Rugby League match at Auckland next Saturday:— Backs.—G. Kennedy (West Coast); E. Anderson (Canter-1 bury), R. Billington (Otago), J.I Bond (Canterbury), R. Griffiths' (West Coast); G. Menzies (West Coast); G. Skinner (West Coast).l Forwards.—R. Turton (Canter-j burv), M. Cooke (Canterbury). T.i Kilkelly (West Coast), W. McLennan (West Coast), J. Butterfield (West Coast), K. Pearce (Canterbury). i Reserves. Back: A. Smith (Canterbury). Forwards: G. Gardiner (West Coast). K. Roberts (Canterbury) was not available. Menzies has been appointed: captain and Butterfield vice-cap-tain.
