BOOKINGS FOR TEST
Enclosure Seats Sell Quickly
Less than an hour and a half was taken on Saturday morning to sell more than 3000 seats in the enclosure for the third Rugby test between New Zealand and the touring British Isles team, which will be played in Christchurch on Saturday. The shop which acts as agent for the selling of the seats opened its doors at 9 a.m„ and the last seats were sold just before 10.30. ’ Allocations of stand seats to clubs and other bodies and individuals has left only 840 seats available for sale to the general public. These will be sold this morning, and a queue of reasonable size is waiting for the store to open. This queue includes people who joined the queue for enclosure seats too late on Saturday morning, but who have chosen to wait in the line since then for the stand seats available. The 840 seats which will be sold today are mainly in the number 3 stand, and it is not expected that they will be sold as quickly as were those on Saturday The seats will be sold through one window, and four different plans will be in use. The management of the store expects that the selling may continue for most of the day.
