Coronation Shield Held
(New Zeaiano Press Association) WHANG AREI, August 23. The Northland Rugby team held the Coronation Shield on Saturday bv beating Thames Valley. 22-12, at Whangarei. Northland led 9-6 at half-time. The game was played on a heavy field and in drizzling Northland’s points came from tries bv H. Phillips (2), J. Houlihan, E. D Dean and D. Webb. M. Walters converted two tries and kicked a penalty goal. . _ R. Wells scored a try for Thames Valiev and T. Shaw kicked three penalty goals.
