Three Persons In

Hospital

INVERCARGILL, August 23. Three persons were admitted to Kew Hospital tonight following an accident at 5.35 p.m. involving three cars on the Bluff road, outside the Southland phosphate works, about nine miles from Invercargill.

Those admitted to hospital were Mr and Mrs L. Johnson, of 124 Foyle street. Bluff, and Istvan Jakobovics, aged 22, of 3 Budd street, Bluff. The accident occurred when a car driven by Mr Jakobovics pulled out' to pass another car driven by Mr H. D. Brassett, of 62 Avenal street Invercargill and struck the rear of the car Mr Jakobovic’s car then veered across the road and collided headon with an oncoming car occupied by Mr and Mrs Johnson and their child.

The conditions of all three persons in hospital were not known late tonight.
